I know Europe. Yes guys, i know my europe.
Through its Swiss majestic mountains, its french provence fields of colorful flowers, across its beautiful german forests to the italian dolomites, from the Swedish white land to the Irish's cliffs, i know you, old friend.
But, if there is a place where i never been to, and always dreamed about, this is Sicily.
I love Cinema, films who let me dream, like i do in front of a photograph too, by the way, and the godfather part One, was my first step to Sicily. Its moody green & yellow lands, made of hilltops, cliffs, blue mediterranean lagoons, keep you out of any civilization, and i don't even talk about the script.
In this one, you are the star.
Life is beautiful there, true, and out of tourism, but for how long ?

What i love when i travel, is hiking, sometimes being alone, or in good company, but mostly, not being surrounded by the same rude tourists in the same kind of rude places.
Sicily is a dream, but depends on where you are, and it will be up to you to discover it by yourself.
Of course, don't expect any help from any tour guide.
Talking to the locals and exploring is your answer, and in any case, the best broths are cooked in the oldest pans !
In that way, discovering Sicily, and then later, Aeolian Islands, introduced me to South Italy, and what a joy.

Amalfi, till death do us part

Total contradiction with Sicily, the Amalfi coast has its tourist penchant well present, infernal during the summer (prefer the low season), even if its beauty remains undeniable.
Art remains there, as are the quaint and picturesque places. However, the scams and the bad restaurants, the gastronomic quality being matched only by its quality of service.
But Positano worth the look, and can be inspiring for a first time travel trip, not much in my opinion, because here, we are talking about one of the most visited city on the planet, and the number destination shared on instagram in 2017.
